This document is applicable to OceanStor 5110 V5, 5110F V5, 5300 V5, 5300F V5, 5500 V5, 5500F V5, 5600 V5, 5600F V5, 5800 V5, 5800F V5, 6800 V5, and 6800F V5 storage systems. It describes hardware installation of those storage systems for helping you easily and quickly finish the installation.

(Optional) Connecting Cables for HyperMetro Networking

This section describes how to connect two data centers, the quorum site, and devices in each data center to form HyperMetro networking. If HyperMetro is not used, skip this section.

Context

Figure 6-71 and Figure 6-72 show the cable connections between switches, controller enclosures, and hosts inside and between data centers.

NOTE:

Port 10 serves as a management network port. Its IP address is 192.168.128.200 and subnet mask is 255.255.255.0.

Procedure

  1. Wear an ESD wrist strap, ESD gloves, and ESD clothes.
  2. Connect cables according to Figure 6-71 or Figure 6-72.
  3. Check the cable connections. Ensure that they are correct and secure.
