The ping command applies to the Linux operating system and is used to check network connectivity.


ping [ parameter ]





parameter To obtain the detailed information and usage guide of the parameters, run the ping --help command.


I Interface used by ping to send packets. For Kunpeng series storage devices, when data packets are sent via the front-end service network, the interface must be specified as "-I vrf-srv" or as a specific network interface name.

Network interface name.


Minisystem mode

Usage Guidelines



  • Send a 1024-byte packet from local eth2 for three times.

    Storage: minisystem> ping -I eth2 -c 3 -s 1024
    PING ( from eth2: 1024(1052) bytes of data.
    1032 bytes from icmp_seq=1 ttl=64 time=0.375 ms
    1032 bytes from icmp_seq=2 ttl=64 time=0.188 ms
    1032 bytes from icmp_seq=3 ttl=64 time=0.193 ms
    --- ping statistics ---
    3 packets transmitted, 3 received, 0% packet loss, time 1999ms
    rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 0.188/0.252/0.375/0.087 ms
  • Send specified packets from the front-end service network for three times (applicable to Kunpeng series).

    Storage: minisystem> ping -I vrf-srv -c 3
    ping: Warning: source address might be selected on device other than vrf-inner.
