change cache io_concurrent


The change cache io_concurrent command is used to change the number of concurrent I/Os in volume cache and stripe cache.


change cache io_concurrent base=? active_type=? req=? page=? mode=?





base=? Cache type.

Possible values include "volume" and "stripe".

active_type=? I/O type.

Possible values include "prefetch", "normal_destage", or "force_destage", where:

  • "prefetch": prefetch.
  • "normal_destage": normal data destaging.
  • "force_destage": forcible data destaging.
req=? Number of concurrent REQ resources of the cache I/Os.

The value ranges from "0" to "16,384".

page=? Number of concurrent page resources of the cache I/Os.

The value ranges from "0" to "2,621,440".

mode=? Concurrence adjusting mode.

Possible values include "adjust" and "fastness", where:

  • "adjust": dynamic adjustment. The number concurrent resources of this cache type are dynamically adjusted based on requirements.
  • "fastness": fixed adjustment. The number concurrent resources of this cache type are set to a fixed value.

Usage Guidelines

Set the parameters properly. A too-large value may cause the system to overload and fail to run correctly, and a too-small value may cause system performance to degrade. This command can only be executed on the current controller.


To change the number of concurrent I/Os in volume cache, run the following command.
