show failover_path general

Function

The show failover_path general command is used to query the status of SAN port failover paths on storage systems.

Format

show failover_path general [ controller=? | source_port_id=? ]

Parameters

controller

ID of a controller.

To obtain the value, run "show controller general".

source_port_id

ID of a source port.

To obtain the value, run "show port general" without parameters.

Usage Guidelines

  • Execute the "show failover_path general" command to query the status of all SAN port failover paths.
  • Execute the "show failover_path general controller=?" command to query the status of all SAN port failover paths that belong to a specified controller.
  • Execute the "show failover_path general source_port_id=?" command to query the failover path status of a specified source port.
NOTE:

The iSCSI port does not have the following states: "Source Port NPIV", "Source Switch NPIV", "Target Port NPIV", and "Target Switch NPIV".

Target Port

ID of target port.

Available

Whether the failover path is available.

Source Port NPIV

Whether the source port supports NPIV.

Source Switch NPIV

Whether the switch connected to the source port supports NPIV.

Target Port NPIV

Whether the target port supports NPIV.

Target Switch NPIV

Whether the switch connected to the target port supports NPIV.

Source Port Link Count

Number of source port links.

Target Port Free Link

Remaining number of available links on a target port.

Free Link Enough

Whether the remaining number of available links on a target port is sufficient.

Redundancy

Whether the number of target port links meets redundancy requirements.

Failover Status

Source port failover status.
