change cluster general

Function

The change cluster general command is used to change the cluster IPv4 base address and IPv4 subnetting mode, or the networking mode of a cluster.

Format

change cluster general [ ipv4_base_address=? ] [ subnetting_mode=? ] [ network_mode=? ]

network_mode=?

Networking mode.

Possible values are "switch_mode" and "switchless_mode", where:

  • "switch_mode": switch networking mode.
  • "switchless_mode": direct networking mode.

The default value is "switch_mode".

ipv4_base_address=?

IPv4 base address.

In C network segment division mode, the IP base address is a host address that starts with 10.253 or 172.17. By default, the C network segment division mode is adopted. In D network segment division mode, the IP base address is a host address in the network segment "*.*.*.1".

subnetting_mode=?

IPv4 subnetting mode.

The value can be:

  • "mask16_mode": C network segment division mode.
  • "mask24_mode": D network segment division mode.

Usage Guidelines

  • Before running the command, ensure that the values of the following to be changed are valid: IPv4 base address and IPv4 subnetting mode, or the networking mode.
  • After running the "change cluster general" command, run the "change cluster config_complete" command to make the configuration take effect.

Example

  • Change the networking mode of a cluster to the switch mode.
    developer:/>change cluster general network_mode=switch_mode 
    DANGER: You are going to modify the networking mode of the cluster. This operation may interrupt services or cause service exceptions. 
    Suggestion: Before performing this operation, determine whether the modification is necessary.

  • Change the cluster IPv4 base address to "172.17.1.1" and the IPv4 subnetting mode to "mask16_mode".

    DANGER: You are about to change the cluster IPv4 base address, IPv4 subnetting mode, or cluster networking mode. This operation may affect service continuity.
