Based on the CLI, this document describes how to use various commands classified by functions and how to set the CLI and manage the storage system through these commands. upgrade system_disk

Function

The upgrade system_disk command is used to upgrade the firmware version of the storage system's system disk. Run this command if you need to upgrade the system disk of the storage system.

Format

upgrade system_disk ip=? user=? password=? path=? [ controller=? ] [ port=? ] [ protocol=? ]

ip=? IP address of an FTP server or an SFTP server.

User name for logging in to an FTP server or an SFTP server. The value consists of 1 to 64 ASCII characters.

user=? User name for logging in to an FTP server or an SFTP server.

The value consists of 1 to 64 ASCII characters.

password=? Password for logging in to an FTP server or an SFTP server.

The value consists of 1 to 64 ASCII characters.

path=? File name of and path to a software package on an FTP server or an SFTP server.

The file name extension is .tgz. The file name cannot contain any of the following characters: ' \ / : * ? "<> |.

controller=? ID of a controller or smart enclosure.

The value of a controller is in the format of "XA", "XB", "XC", or "XD", where the "X" is an integer ranging from 0 to 3. To obtain the value, run "show controller general".

The value of a smart enclosure is in the format of "DAEXXX.A" or "DAEXXX.B", where the "X" is a hexadecimal number ranging from 0 to F. To obtain the value, run "show expansion_module".

port=? Port number of the FTP or SFTP server.

The value ranges from 1 to 65535.

  • If "protocol" is "FTP", the default value is "21".
  • If "protocol" is "SFTP", the default value is "22".
protocol=? Protocol type.

Protocol type. The value can be "FTP" or "SFTP". The default value is "SFTP". To ensure the security of data transfer, you are advised to use the Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP).

Upgrade all system disks.
