This document is applicable to OceanStor 18500 V5, 18800 V5, 18500F V5, and 18800F V5 storage systems. It describes hardware installation of those storage systems for helping you easily and quickly finish the installation.

remove cache_partition lun


The remove cache_partition lun command is used to remove LUNs from a cache partition.


remove cache_partition lun cache_partition_id=? lun_id_list=?





cache_partition_id=? ID of a cache partition from which you want to remove LUNs.

To obtain the value, run "show cache_partition general".

lun_id_list=? ID of a LUN that you want to remove.
  • To obtain the value, run "show lun general".
  • When multiple LUNs need to be removed, separate these LUN IDs with commas (,), or separate the ID range with hyphens (-), such as: 0,5-8.



Usage Guidelines



Remove LUNs "6" and "7" from cache partition "1".

admin:/>remove cache_partition lun cache_partition_id=1 lun_id_list=6,7
WARNING: You are about to remove LUN from SmartPartition. 
This operation may affect LUN performance. 
Suggestion: Before performing this operation, ensure that the preceding risk is acceptable and the correct SmartPartition and LUN are selected.
