This document is applicable to OceanStor 18500 V5, 18800 V5, 18500F V5, and 18800F V5 storage systems. It describes hardware installation of those storage systems for helping you easily and quickly finish the installation.

Function

The create ndmpcopy_task command is used to create an ndmpcopy task.

create ndmpcopy_task src_path=? dst_path=? [ src_auth=? ] [ dst_auth=? ] [ transfer_level=? ] [ transfer_exclude=? ] [ exec_controller=? ]

src_path=? Source path of the ndmpcopy task. The value consists of an logical IP address and a path. If the task is performed by the same vStore of the local disk array, the logical IP address is optional.

The input format is source_IP:source_path.

  • The "source_IP" type can be an IPv4 or IPv6 address, but must be the same as the IP address type in "dst_path". The IPv6 address must be enclosed in brackets ([]). For example, IPv4 address 10.10.10.10 and IPv6 address [fe80::1].
  • "source_path" can be the absolute path name of the file system, file system snapshot, or directory or file of the file system or file system snapshot. The input formats are as follows: /fs+File system ID, /fs+Snapshot ID, /fs+File system ID/Directory, /fs+Snapshot ID/Directory, /fs+File system ID/File name, /fs+Snapshot ID/File name. For example, if file system "0" is to be backed up, the path is /fs0; if snapshot "0@0A" is to be backed up, the path is /fs0@0A.
  • The value of "source_IP:source_path" ranges from 4 to 4240 characters.
dst_path=? Target path of the ndmpcopy task. The value consists of an logical IP address and a path. If the task is performed by the same vStore of the local disk array, the logical IP address is optional.

The input format is destination_IP:destination_path.

  • The "destination_IP" type can be an IPv4 or IPv6 address, but must be the same as the IP address type in "src_path". The IPv6 address must be enclosed in brackets ([]).
  • "destination_path" must be the absolute path name of the file system or directory of the file system. The input format is /fs+File system ID or /fs+File system ID/Directory. For example, if the destination path is that of directory "dir1" in file system "0", the value of "destination_path" is /fs0/dir1.
  • The value of "destination_IP:destination_path" ranges from 4 to 4240 characters.
src_user_name=? Source NDMP user name of the ndmpcopy task.
The username must meet the security policy rule of the resource user.
NOTE:
You can use the "show resource_user safe_strategy" command to show the username policies of a storage system.
src_user_password=? Source NDMP password of the ndmpcopy task.
The password must meet the security policy rule of the resource user.
NOTE:
You can use the "show resource_user safe_strategy" command to show the password policies of a storage system.
dst_user_name=? Target NDMP user name of the ndmpcopy task.
The username must meet the security policy rule of the resource user.
NOTE:
You can use the "show resource_user safe_strategy" command to show the username policies of a storage system.
dst_user_password=? Target NDMP password of the ndmpcopy task.
The password must meet the security policy rule of the resource user.
NOTE:
You can use the "show resource_user safe_strategy" command to show the password policies of a storage system.
transfer_level=? Transfer level of the ndmpcopy task.
  • The value ranges from 0 to 9. The default value is 0.
  • The value 0 indicates full backup, the value 1 indicates cumulative incremental backup, and values 2 to 9 indicate incremental backup at different levels.
  • The cumulative incremental backup must be performed after full backup.
  • The differential incremental backup is performed after cumulative incremental backup or low-level differential incremental backup. Otherwise, full backup is performed.
transfer_exclude=? File filtering condition of the ndmpcopy task. The files matching the source end will not be transferred to the target end.
  • A maximum of 32 filter criteria are supported. Each filter condition contains a maximum of 255 characters. The total length of all filter criteria cannot exceed 1024 characters.
  • Multiple filter criteria are separated by commas (,). For example: txt,csv.
  • The filter criteria are left empty by default and data is not filtered.
exec_controller=? Controller where the ndmpcopy task is executed.

The value is in the format of "XA", "XB", "XC", or "XD", where "X" indicates an integer from "0" to "3".

Parameters "src_path" and "dst_path" must be used at the same time.

Example

Create an ndmpcopy task.

CAUTION: You are about to create an ndmpcopy task. This operation will back up files in the specified path on the source end to the target end. If the controller where the ndmpcopy task runs fails to be connected to the IP address of the source or target end, the task will fail. 
Suggestion: Ensure that the controller has been configured with the logical IP address and can be connected to the source and target IP addresses.
