This document is applicable to OceanStor 18500 V5, 18800 V5, 18500F V5, and 18800F V5 storage systems. It describes hardware installation of those storage systems for helping you easily and quickly finish the installation.

remove smart_cache_pool disk


The remove smart_cache_pool disk command is used to remove a disk from a SmartCache pool.


remove smart_cache_pool disk smart_cache_pool_id=? disk_list=?





smart_cache_pool_id=? SmartCache pool ID.

To obtain the value, run "show smart_cache_pool general".

disk_list=? Disk ID list.

To obtain the value, run "show smart_cache_pool disk smart_cache_pool_id=x". X is the ID of the pool.



Usage Guidelines

OceanStor 18500 V5, 18500 V5 Kunpeng, 18800 V5 and 18800 V5 Kunpeng storage systems support this command.


To remove disk DAE000.7 from SmartCache pool 0, run the following command.

admin:/>remove smart_cache_pool disk smart_cache_pool_id=0 disk_list=DAE000.7
WARNING: You are about to remove SSD DAE000.7 from the SmartCache pool 0. The deletion is irreversible.This operation deletes the relation-ship of the SSD and the SmartCache pool from the system, and may affect LUN or file system performance.
Suggestion: Before performing this operation, ensure that you have selected the correct SSD which is considered unnecessary.

Are you sure you really want to perform the operation?(y/n)y
Remove the disk DAE000.7 from smart_cache_pool successfully.
