Parameters

Parameter

Description

Value

schedule_id=? ID of a SmartTier policy.
NOTE:
Each pair of data relocation and I/O monitoring policies share the same ID, where:
  • Data relocation policy: This type of policies can relocate the data of different popularities to appropriate storage tiers for storage performance optimization.
  • I/O monitoring policy: This type of policies can monitor the performance of different storage tiers in real time to provide reference information for formulating data relocation policies.

To obtain the value, run "show schedule" without parameters.

type=? Type of a policy.

The value can be:

  • "monitor": indicates I/O monitoring policies.
  • "relocate": indicates data relocation policies.

Usage Guidelines

SmartTier allows data of different access frequencies to be relocated to disks with different performance. This optimizes storage resource allocation and improves the service quality.
  • To query the information on existing SmartTier policies, run show schedule.
  • To query the information on a specific SmartTier policy, run show schedule schedule_id=?.
  • To query the information on a specific type of SmartTier policies, run show schedule type=?.
  • To query the information on existing SmartTier policies created in a specific storage pool, run show schedule related_id=?.
  • OceanStor 18500 V5, 18500 V5 Kunpeng, 18800 V5 and 18800 V5 Kunpeng storage systems support this command.
