This document is applicable to OceanStor 18500 V5, 18800 V5, 18500F V5, and 18800F V5 storage systems. It describes hardware installation of those storage systems for helping you easily and quickly finish the installation.

show file_system file_handle


The show file_system file_handle command is used to query information about handles on a controller.


show file_system file_handle [ controller=? ] [ file_system_id=? ] [ show_count=? ]





controller=? Controller ID.

The value is in the format of "XA" or "XB" or "XC" or "XD", where the "X" is an integer ranging from 0 to 3, for example: "0A", "1C".

file_system_id=? File system ID.

To obtain the value, run the "show file_system general" command without parameters.

show_count=? Whether the total number of handles is displayed.

The value can be "yes" or "no", where:

  • "yes": queries the total number of handles.
  • "no": queries information about handles on each file system.



Usage Guidelines



  • Query information about handles on controller "0A".

    admin:/>show file_system file_handle controller=0A
    Controller File System ID File Handle Count 
     ---------- -------------- ----------------- 
     0A         3              2 
     0A         2              2 
     0A         1              6
  • Query the total number of handles on controller "0A".

    admin:/>show file_system file_handle controller=0A show_count=yes
    Controller : 0A 
     Used File Handle Count : 8 
     Total File Handle Count : 600000
  • Query information about handles on file system "1" of controller "0A".

    admin:/>show file_system file_handle controller=0A file_system_id=1
    Controller : 0A 
     File System ID : 1 
     File Handle Count : 6
