Format

create schedule relocate name=? pool_id=? period=? [ day_of_week=? ] [ start_time=? ] [ duration=? ]

Parameters

Parameter

Usage Guidelines

  • The prerequisite for running this command is that the selected storage pool contains at least two storage tiers.
  • The SmartTier data relocation function can fully utilize the performance and capacity features of different hard disks on the storage system. For example, you can use this function to relocate hot data to the high-performance tier consisting of solid state drives (SSDs), and to relocate cold data to the capacity tier consisting of near line serial attached SCSI (NL-SAS) disks.
  • Data relocation policies are formulated by referring to I/O monitoring policies. For details on creating I/O monitoring policies, see "create schedule monitor".
  • OceanStor 18500 V5, 18500 V5 Kunpeng, 18800 V5 and 18800 V5 Kunpeng storage systems support this command.

Example

Create a data relocation policy on storage pool "2", where the name of the policy is "newrelocate", the policy will be started from "12:05" on each Tuesday, and the policy execution will last for an hour.

admin:/>create schedule relocate name=newrelocate pool_id=2 period=weekly day_of_week=tue start_time=12:05 duration=1:00
Command executed successfully.
