This document is applicable to OceanStor 18500 V5, 18800 V5, 18500F V5, and 18800F V5 storage systems. It describes hardware installation of those storage systems for helping you easily and quickly finish the installation.

Function

The change devicemanager tls command is used to modify the earliest TLS protocol version supported by DeviceManager.

Format

change devicemanager tls min_version=?

Parameters

Value

min_version=? Earliest TLS protocol version supported by DeviceManager.

The value can be:

  • "v1.0": TLS version 1.0.
  • "v1.1": TLS version 1.1.
  • "v1.2": TLS version 1.2.
  • "v1.3": TLS version 1.3.
controller_id=? ID of a controller. The parameter is not supported on SVP.

The value is in the format of "XA", "XB", "XC", or "XD", where "X" is an integer ranging from 0 to 3, for example: "0A".

Usage Guidelines

  • After you have run the "change devicemanager tls min_version" command to modify the earliest TLS protocol version supported by DeviceManager, you need to run the "reboot storage service service_name=devicemanager" command to make the modification take effect.
  • Running the "reboot storage service service_name=devicemanager" command results in temporarily inaccessible DeviceManager services. Before performing this operation, you need to ensure that all users have exited the DeviceManager services.
  • When logging in to the CLI using the SVP's management IP address, you can configure DeviceManager on the SVP.
  • When logging in to the CLI using a controller's management IP address, you can configure DeviceManager on the controller.

Example

Change the earliest TLS protocol version supported by DeviceManager to v1.1.
