add failover_group fc_port

Function

The add failover_group fc_port command is used to add FC ports to a customized SAN failover group.

Format

add failover_group fc_port failover_group_id=? fc_port_list=?

Parameters

failover_group_id=?

ID of a failover group.

  • The value is an integer between 1 and 1024.
  • To obtain the value, run the "show failover_group general" command without parameters.

fc_port_list=?

List of FC ports.

  • To obtain the value, run the "show port general physical_type=FC" command.
  • When multiple FC ports are entered, separate the port names from each other using commas (,).

Usage Guidelines

  • The "failover_group_id" supports only the ID of a customized failover group.
  • The "fc_port_list" supports one or more FC port names.

Example

  • Add an FC port to a customized failover group.
    admin:/>add failover_group fc_port failover_group_id=1 fc_port_list=CTE0.A1.P1 
    Add FC port CTE0.A1.P1 to failover group successfully.
  • Add FC ports to a customized failover group.
    admin:/>add failover_group fc_port failover_group_id=1 fc_port_list=CTE0.A1.P1,CTE0.A1.P2 
    Add FC port CTE0.A1.P1 to failover group successfully. 
    Add FC port CTE0.A1.P2 to failover group successfully.
  • Add FC ports to a customized failover group.
    admin:/>add failover_group fc_port failover_group_id=1 fc_port_list=CTE0.A1.P1,CTE0.B1.P2 
    Add FC port CTE0.A1.P1 to failover group successfully. 
    Error: The object does not exist. 
    Add FC port CTE0.B1.P2 to failover group failed.
