This document is applicable to OceanStor 18500 V5, 18800 V5, 18500F V5, and 18800F V5 storage systems. It describes hardware installation of those storage systems for helping you easily and quickly finish the installation.

create fs_migration

Function

The create fs_migration general command is used to create a file system migration task.

Format

create fs_migration source_fs_id=? target_pool_id=? [ speed=? ] [ target_controller=? ]

Parameters

Parameter

Value

source_fs_id Source file system ID of the migration.

To obtain the value, run "show file_system general".

target_pool_id Target storage pool ID of the migration.

To obtain the value, run "show storage_pool general".

speed Migration speed.

The value can be "Low", "Middle", "High", or "Highest", where:

  • "Low": low migration speed (0 MB/s to 5 MB/s), applied when the system's service load is heavy.
  • "Middle": medium migration speed (10 MB/s to 20 MB/s), applied when the system's service load is relatively heavy.
  • "High": high migration speed (50 MB/s to 70 MB/s), applied when the system's service load is relatively light.
  • "Highest": highest migration speed (greater than 100 MB/s), applied when the system's service load is light.
The default value is "High".
target_controller Target controller ID of the migration.

The value is [0-3][A|B|C|D].

Example

  • Create a file system migration task whose source file system ID is "1" and target pool ID is "1".

    admin:/>create fs_migration source_fs_id=1 target_pool_id=1                             
    Command executed successfully.
  • Create a file system migration task whose source file system ID is "4" and target pool ID is "1".

    admin:/>create fs_migration source_fs_id=4 target_storage_pool_id=1 
    DANGER: The selected file system does not have the snapshot comparison capability. After the migration is complete, all snapshots of the source file system will be lost.
    Suggestion: Confirm that you do not need the snapshot data of the source file system.
    Have you read danger alert message carefully?(y/n)y
    Are you sure you really want to perform the operation?(y/n)y
    Command executed successfully.
  • Create a file system migration task whose source file system ID is "5" and target pool ID is "1".

    admin:/>create fs_migration source_fs_id=5 target_storage_pool_id=1 
    DANGER: Some snapshots of the selected file system do not have the snapshot comparison capability. After the migration is complete, snapshots that are generated earlier than test_snap will be lost.
    Suggestion: Confirm that you do not need the snapshot data.
