add lun_copy local_target

The add lun_copy local_target command is used to add local target logical unit numbers (LUNs) to a LUN copy task. You can add extra local target LUNs as required by running this command.

add lun_copy local_target lun_copy_id=? target_lun_id=?

lun_copy_id=? ID of a LUN copy.

To obtain the value, run "show lun_copy general".

target_lun_id=? ID of a local LUN to be added.

To obtain the value, run "show lun general".

Usage Guidelines

  • The data of a source LUN overwrites that of a target LUN upon the start of a LUN copy task.
  • Before running this command, ensure that the selected LUN copy task and target LUN are exactly the ones you want to use for a LUN copy task, and that no application server is accessing the target LUN.
  • The selected LUN copy can not be in the state of copying or paused.
  • Different LUN copy tasks cannot share the same target LUN.

Add local target LUN "2" to LUN copy "0".

admin:/>add lun_copy local_target lun_copy_id=0 target_lun_id=2
WARNING: You are about to build a LUN copy relationship between source LUN and target LUN. After this operation, the data on the target LUN will be overwritten by the data on the source LUN.
Suggestion:Before performing this operation, ensure that the selected source and target LUNs are correct, and the target LUN is not being read or written by hosts.
