Function

The change schedule command is used to modify the settings associated with a SmartTier policy. SmartTier policies include data relocation and I/O monitoring policies.

Format

change schedule schedule_id=? { name=? | period=? [ day_of_week=? ] | start_time= ? | duration= ? } *

schedule_id=?

ID of a SmartTier policy.

To obtain the value, run "show schedule".

name=?

Name of a policy.

The value contains 1 to 31 characters including digits, letters, underscores (_), hyphens (-), and periods (.).

period=?

Execution period of a policy.

The value can be:

  • "daily": The policy is executed daily.
  • "weekly": The policy is executed weekly.

day_of_week=?

Day on which a policy will be cycled weekly. This parameter must be assigned and it is valid only when period=? is set to "weekly".

You can specify multiple days in a week and separate them with commas (,). The value can be "sun", "mon", "tue", "wed", "thu", "fri", or "sat", where:

  • "sun": indicates Sunday.
  • "mon": indicates Monday.
  • "tue": indicates Tuesday.
  • "wed": indicates Wednesday.
  • "thu": indicates Thursday.
  • "fri": indicates Friday.
  • "sat": indicates Saturday.

start_time=?

Time from which a policy will be started on a specific day of a week.

The value is in the format of HH:MM. The value ranges from 00:00 to 23:59.

duration=?

Duration of the policy execution.

The value is in the format of HH:MM or H:M. The value ranges from 00:30 to 24:00.

Example

To modify the settings of SmartTier policy "1", where the policy will be renamed "newname", the updated policy execution start time is "08:00", and the policy execution will last for two hours, run the following command:
