show ib_port general

show ib_port general

The show ib_port general command is used to check the properties of an IB port.

show ib_port general [ ib_port_id=? ] [ parent_type=? ] [ controller_id=? ] [ expansion_module_id=? ] [ interface_module_id=? ] [ associate_object_type=? ] [ port_group_id=? ] [ host_id=? ]

ib_port_id=? Port ID.

To obtain the value, run the "show ib_port general" command without parameters.

parent_type=? Parent type.

The value can be "controller", "expand_board", or "interface_module", where:

  • controller: indicates a controller.
  • expand_board: indicates an expansion board.
  • interface_module: indicates an interface module.
controller_id=? Controller ID.

The value is in the format of "XA", "XB", "XC" or "XD", where the "X" is an integer ranging from 0 to 3.

To obtain the value, run "show controller general".

expansion_module_id=? Expansion module ID.

To obtain the value, run the "show expansion_module" command.

interface_module_id=? Interface module ID.

To obtain the value, run the "show interface_module" command.

associate_object_type=? Associated object type.

The value can be "host" or "port_group", where:

  • host: indicates a host.
  • port_group: indicates a port group.
port_group_id=? Port group ID.

To obtain the value, run the "show port_group general" command.

host_id=? Host ID.

To obtain the value, run the "show host general" command.

Usage Guidelines

  • When "parent_type" is set to "controller", "controller_id" may be specified.
  • When "parent_type" is set to "expand_board", "expansion_module_id" may be specified.
  • When "parent_type" is set to "interface_module", "interface_module_id" may be specified.
  • When "associate_object_type" is set to "port_group", "port_group_id" must be specified.
  • When "associate_object_type" is set to "host", "host_id" must be specified.

You can choose only one of the following three parameters: "ib_port_id", "parent_type", and "associate_object_type".
