Function

The change smartqos_template command is used to modify the properties of an I/O class template.

Format

change smartqos_template smartqos_template_id=? [ name=? ] [ io_type=? ] { max_bandwidth=? max_iops=? | min_bandwidth=? min_iops=? latency=? }

smartqos_template_id=?

ID of an I/O class template.

To obtain the value, run "show smartqos_template".

name=?

Name of an I/O class template.

The value contains 1 to 31 characters including digits, letters, hyphens (-), underscores (_), and periods (.).

io_type=?

I/O type.

The value can be:

  • "read": indicates read I/Os.
  • "write": indicates write I/Os.
  • "read_write": indicates read and write I/Os.

max_bandwidth=?

Maximum bandwidth for an I/O class when the performance objective is bandwidth. When the maximum bandwidth is configured, the bandwidth for an I/O class cannot exceed the maximum one.

The value is an integer ranging from 1 to 999,999,999, expressed in MBps.

min_bandwidth=?

Minimum bandwidth for an I/O class when the performance objective is bandwidth. When the minimum bandwidth is configured, the bandwidth for an I/O class cannot be less than the minimum one.

The value an integer ranging from 1 to 999,999,999, expressed in MBps.

max_iops=?

Maximum IOPS for an I/O class when the performance objective is IOPS. When the maximum IOPS is configured, the IOPS for an I/O class cannot exceed the maximum one.

The value an integer ranging from 1 to 999,999,999.

min_iops=?

Minimum IOPS for an I/O class when the performance objective is IOPS. When the minimum IOPS is configured, the IOPS for an I/O class cannot be less than the minimum one.

The value an integer ranging from 1 to 999,999,999.

latency=?

Maximum latency for an I/O class when the performance objective is latency. When the latency is configured, the latency for an I/O class cannot exceed the maximum one.

The value an integer ranging from 1 to 999,999,999, expressed in ms.

Usage Guidelines

You can specify both "max_bandwidth" and "max_iops" or only one of them. If you specified both "max_bandwidth" and "max_iops" or only one of them, none of "min_bandwidth", "min_iops", and "latency" can be specified. You can specify all "min_bandwidth", "min_iops", and "latency", only one of them, or two of them. If you specified all "min_bandwidth", "min_iops", and "latency", only one of them, or two of them, neither "max_bandwidth" nor "max_iops" can be specified. Specify at least one of the five operands.

Example

Change the name and latency of I/O class template "0" to "test" and "20" respectively.
