change remote_device user_password

Function

The change remote_device user_password command is used to change the user's password that logging in to remote device.

Format

change remote_device user_password remote_device_id=? remote_user=?

ID of a remote device.

To obtain the value, run "show remote_device general".

remote_user=?

User name used to log in to a remote device.

The value consists of 6 to 32 ASCII characters, including digits, letters, and underscores (_), and must start with a letter. The default value is "mm_user".

Usage Guidelines

If the version of the local device is different from that of the remote device, you need to add a remote device on the newer version device. Otherwise the operation may fail.

  • The user used for communication authentication between remote devices.
    • If the version of the local device is the same with that of the remote device, you need to use the machine-machine user. The machine-machine username is "mm_user".
    • If the version of the local device is different from that of the remote device, you need to use the super administrator or administrator account on the older version remote device. Obtain the super administrator or administrator account on the remote device.
  • Password of the user used for communication authentication between remote devices.
    • The default password of the machine-machine user is mm_user@storage. To change the password, run "change mm_user password".
    • The password of the super administrator or administrator account is consistent with the password on the remote device.

Example

To change the password of the logged-in "admin " user to "remote@storage", where the remote device ID is "0".
