Function

The change smis configuration command is used to modify the configurations of the SMIS service.

Format

change smis configuration { enable_sslv3=? | enable_tlsv1=? | enable_http_port=? }

enable_sslv3=?

Status of the SSLv3.0 protocol.

The value can be "yes" or "no", where:

  • "yes": The SSLv3.0 protocol is enabled.
  • "no": The SSLv3.0 protocol is disabled.

enable_tlsv1=?

Status of the TLSv1.0 protocol.

The value can be "yes" or "no", where:

  • "yes": The TLSv1.0 protocol is enabled.
  • "no": The TLSv1.0 protocol is disabled.

enable_http_port=?

Status of the HTTP Port.

The value can be "yes" or "no", where:

  • "yes": The HTTP Port is enabled.
  • "no": The HTTP Port is disabled.

Usage Guidelines

This command cannot be executed on the CLI to which you log in using the controller's management IP address. Before running this command, log in to the CLI using the SVP's management IP address. You need to restart the SMIS service to make the configuration changes take effect.

Example

  • Enable the SSLv3.0 protocol.
    admin:/>change smis configuration enable_sslv3=yes 
    WARNING: You are about to enable the SSLv3.0 protocol.This operation will allow unsecure access that is initiated through SSLv3.0, and user information and data may be intercepted. After this command is executed, SMI-S service must be restarted. 
    Suggestion: Before performing this operation, confirm with the customer that this operation is necessary. 
    Have you read warning message carefully?(y/n)y 
    Are you sure you really want to perform the operation?(y/n)y 
    Command executed successfully.
  • Enable the TLSv1.0 protocol.
    admin:/>change smis configuration enable_tlsv1=yes 
    WARNING: You are about to enable the TLSv1.0 protocol.This operation will allow unsecure access that is initiated through TLSv1.0 , and user information and data may be intercepted. After this command is executed, SMI-S service must be restarted.
