add mirror_lun local_mirror_copy

add mirror_lun local_mirror_copy

Function

The add mirror_lun local_mirror_copy command is used to add a local mirror copy to a mirrored LUN.

Format

add mirror_lun local_mirror_copy pool_id=? name=? mirror_lun_id=? [ is_init_sync=? | ignore_leveling=? ]

Parameters

Parameter

Description

Value

pool_id=? ID of the storage pool where the mirror copy is saved.

Run the "show storage_pool general" command to obtain the value.

name=? Name of a mirror copy.

The value consists of 1 to 31 ASCII characters, including digits, letters, underscores (_), hyphens (-), and periods (.).

mirror_lun_id=? ID of a mirrored LUN.

Run the "show mirror_lun general command" to obtain the value.

is_init_sync=? Whether to enable initial synchronization.

The value can be:

  • "yes": Initial synchronization will be performed.
  • "no": Initial synchronization will not be performed.
The default value is "yes".

Level

Administrator

Usage Guidelines

  • Run the "add mirror_lun local_mirror_copy pool_id=? name=? mirror_lun_id=?" command to create a mirror copy for a mirrored LUN.
  • Run the "add mirror_lun local_mirror_copy pool_id=? name=? mirror_lun_id=? is_init_sync=?" command to create a mirror copy for a mirrored LUN and specify whether to enable initial synchronization.
  • Run the "add mirror_lun local_mirror_copy pool_id=? name=? mirror_lun_id=? ignore_leveling=?" command to create a mirror copy for a mirrored LUN and ignore whether the disk domain is in the balancing state.

Example

  • Add a local mirror copy to the mirrored LUN.

    admin:/>add mirror_lun local_mirror_copy pool_id=0 name=mc0 mirror_lun_id=0
    Create LUN 2 successfully.
Add Mirror copy 2 to Mirror LUN 0 successfully.
  • Add a local mirror copy to the mirrored LUN and ignore whether the disk domain is in the balancing state.

    admin:/>add mirror_lun local_mirror_copy pool_id=0 name=mc0 mirror_lun_id=0 ignore_leveling=yes
    Create LUN 2 successfully.
Add Mirror copy 2 to Mirror LUN 0 successfully.
  • Add a local mirror copy to the mirrored LUN and enable initial synchronization.

    admin:/>add mirror_lun local_mirror_copy pool_id=0 name=mc0 mirror_lun_id=0 is_init_sync=yes
    Create LUN 2 successfully.
Add Mirror copy 2 to Mirror LUN 0 successfully.
  • Add a local mirror copy to the mirrored LUN without enabling the initial synchronization.

    admin:/>add mirror_lun local_mirror_copy pool_id=1 name=da mirror_lun_id=32 is_init_sync=no
DANGER: You are about to add the mirror copy to the mirror LUN without performing initial synchronization. The operation cannot guarantee the data consistency of the mirror copies.
Suggestion: Before performing this operation, ensure that the mirror LUN is newly created and has never been read or written. If already consistent, an initial synchronization is not required.
Have you read danger alert message carefully?(y/n)y
Are you sure you really want to perform the operation?(y/n)y
    Create LUN 42 successfully.
Add Mirror copy 42 to Mirror LUN 32 successfully.
