OceanStor 18000 and 18000F V5 Series V500R007

This document is applicable to OceanStor 18500 V5, 18800 V5, 18500F V5, and 18800F V5 storage systems. It describes hardware installation of those storage systems for helping you easily and quickly finish the installation.

add cache_partition file_system


The add cache_partition file_system command is used to add file systems to a specified cache partition.


add cache_partition file_system cache_partition_id=? file_system_id_list=?





cache_partition_id=? ID of the cache partition to which you want to add file systems.

To obtain the value, run "show cache_partition general".

file_system_id_list=? ID list of the file systems that you want to add to a cache partition.
  • To obtain the value, run "show file_system general".
  • If you need to add multiple file systems, separate the file system IDs with commas (,), or separate the ID range with hyphens (-), such as: 0,5-8.



Usage Guidelines



Add file system "0" to cache partition "0".

admin:/>add cache_partition file_system cache_partition_id=0 file_system_id_list=0
DANGER: You are about to add file system into SmartPartition.
This operation may affect file system performance. During the operation, this file system cannot process new I/O requests. The file system can process new I/O requests when its health status is "Normal" and its running status is "Online".
Suggestion: Before performing this operation, ensure that the preceding risk is acceptable and the correct SmartPartition and file system are selected.
