change remote_device user_password

change remote_device user_password

assword command is used to change the user's password for logging in to a remote device.

change remote_device user_password remote_device_id=? remote_user=?

remote_device_id=? ID of a remote device.

To obtain the value, run "show remote_device general".

remote_user=? User name of the machine-machine account used for remote device authentication.

The value consists of 6 to 32 ASCII characters, including digits, letters, and underscores (_), and must start with a letter. The default value is "mm_user".

Usage Guidelines

If the version of the local device is different from that of the remote device, you need to add a remote device on the newer version device. Otherwise the operation may fail.

  • User used for communication authentication between remote devices.
    • If the version of the local device is the same with that of the remote device, you need to use the machine-machine user. The machine-machine username is "mm_user".
    • If the versions of the local and remote devices are inconsistent, use the super administrator account or administrator account of the remote device of an earlier version for authentication. Obtain the super administrator or administrator account on the remote device.
  • Password of the user used for communication authentication between remote devices.
    • The default password of the machine-machine user is mm_user@storage. To change the password, run "change mm_user password".
    • The password of the super administrator or administrator account is consistent with the password on the remote device.

Change the password of the logged-in "admin" user to "remote@storage", where the remote device ID is "0".

admin:/>change remote_device user_password remote_device_id=0 remote_user=admin
Reenter password:**************
Command executed successfully.
