change hyper_metro_pair pause

change hyper_metro_pair pause

The change hyper_metro_pair pause command is used to suspend a HyperMetro pair.

change hyper_metro_pair pause pair_id=? [ stop_role=? ]

pair_id=? ID of the HyperMetro pair.

Run the "show hyper_metro_pair general" command to obtain the value.

stop_role=? Site whose services you want to stop (when the running status of a HyperMetro pair is "Synchronizing" or "To Be Synchronized", you cannot stop services at the site that uniquely provides host read and write services).

The value can be "Preferred" or "Non-preferred", where:

  • "Preferred": preferred site.
  • "Non-preferred": non-preferred site.

Usage Guidelines

Suspend HyperMetro pair "1".

admin:/>change hyper_metro_pair pause pair_id=1
CAUTION: You are about to pause a HyperMetro pair. Once the HyperMetro pair is paused, cross-site real-time data mirroring stops and the resource at only one site can be accessed.
Suggestion: 1. Before performing this operation, ensure that the storage arrays at the two sites are connected to hosts properly to prevent service exceptions. 2. If HyperMetro and asynchronous remote replication form a 3DC network, to migrate data from the DR center of remote replication to the active-active site that is not shared with remote replication, you are advised to suspend the site.
