Usage Guidelines

After setting the DMA mode successfully, you are advised to restart controllers one by one during off-peak hours to ensure service continuity.

OceanStor 18500 V5, 18500F V5, 18800 V5 and 18800F V5 storage systems support this command.

Set the DMA mode of the controller enclosure where controller 0A resides to "PCIE_DMA".

developer:/>change controller dma_type controller_id=0A dma_type=PCIE_DMA
DANGER: You are about to change the DMA mode of the controller enclosure. The controllers must be restarted for the change to take effect.
Suggestion: Before performing this operation, note the following:
1. The DMA mode can be changed when services are running. The change does not affect ongoing services, but it takes effect only after the controllers are restarted.
2. You only need to configure the DMA mode on one controller. If you configure the DMA mode on multiple controllers, the configuration of the last controller prevails.
