change scsi_upgrade_config upgrade

Function

The change scsi_upgrade_config upgrade command is used to turn on or off the switch for the SCSI to optimize the online upgrade service return-to-zero function on a specific type of operating system.

Format

change scsi_upgrade_config upgrade operating_system=? [hw_switch=?|thirdparty_switch=?]

Parameters

operating_system=?

Type of the operating system running on a host.

The value can be:

  • Linux
  • Windows
  • Solaris
  • HP-UX
  • AIX
  • XenServer
  • Mac_OS
  • VMware_ESX
  • VIS6000
  • Windows_Server_2012
NOTE:

Currently, only "AIX" and "VMware_ESX" are supported.

hw_switch=?

-

The value can be "on" or "off", where:

  • "on": Turns on the switch if UltraPath is installed.
  • "off": Turns off the switch if UltraPath is installed.

This parameter is mandatory if the host operating system is AIX, and this parameter is unavailable if the host operating system is VMware ESX.

thirdparty_switch=?

-

The value can be "on" or "off", where:

  • "on": Turns on the switch if native multipathing software is installed.
  • "off": Turns off the switch if multipathing software is installed.

This parameter is mandatory if the host operating system is VMware ESX, and this parameter is unavailable if the host operating system is AIX.

  • Turn on the switch for the SCSI to optimize the online upgrade service return-to-zero function if the operating system is AIX and UltraPath is installed.
