change cache dsgbase_concur

Function

The change cache dsgbase_concur command is used to set a base concurrency for cache global object destaging.

Format

change cache dsgbase_concur cache_layer=? concur_type=? reqnum=? pagenum=?

cache_layer =?

Cache layer.

The value can be "volume_cache" or "stripe_cache", where:

  • "volume_cache": layer-1 cache or volume cache.
  • "stripe_cache": layer-2 cache or stripe cache.

concur_type=?

Concurrency type.

  • When "cache_layer" is set to "volume_cache", the value of "concur_type" can be "thick_lun", "thin_lun", or "all".
  • When "cache_layer" is set to "stripe_cache", the value of "concur_type" can be "SSD", "HDD", or "all".

reqnum=?

Number of concurrent REQs.

The value ranges from 1 to 8192.

The value indicates the number of concurrent cache flushing REQs.

pagenum=?

Number of concurrent pages.

The value ranges from 1 to 262,1440.

The value indicates the number of concurrent cache flushing pages.

Usage Guidelines

Set the base number of concurrent REQs and pages for layer-1 or layer-2 cache global objects.

Example

Set the base REQ and page concurrencies of stripe cache global HDD destaging to "512" and "25536", respectively.
