clear configuration_data

Function

The clear configuration_data command is used to clear configuration data.

Format

clear configuration_data [ action=? ]

Operation performed after device configuration data is cleared.

The value can be "poweroff", "reboot", or "no_reboot", where:

  • "poweroff": powers off the system.
  • "reboot": restarts the system.
  • "no_reboot": does not restart the system. The default value is "reboot".

Usage Guidelines

  • This command provides an interactive mode for entering passwords. The password will be displayed behind asterisks.
  • If the number of consecutively entered incorrect passwords reaches 3 within 5 minutes, the current session will be offline.
  • Ensure that the "export configuration_data" command is executed to back up the current configuration data within 30 minutes. Otherwise, the "clear configuration_data" command fails to be executed.

  • Clear configuration data and restart the device by default.

    This operation interrupts all running services on the storage system, and the storage system will restart by default. After restart, all original configuration information will be cleared, and the system will be restored to default settings. This operation clears all original configuration information and service data and brings irreversible results. The system cannot be restored to the original status after this command is executed. 
    Suggestion: Before performing this operation, implement the following steps:  
    1. Determine whether to clear all configurations.  
    2. Ensure that the current configuration data has been backed up in the past 30 minutes. Otherwise, the command fails to be executed.  
    3. Stop all running services on the system.

    This operation interrupts all running services on the storage system. All original configuration information and service data will be cleared, and the system will be restored to default settings. You need to restart the system because the system cannot process services correctly. All configurations and data become invalid. This command brings irreversible results. The system cannot be restored to the original status after this command is executed. 
    Suggestion: Before performing this operation, implement the following steps:  
    1. Determine whether to clear all configurations.  
    2. Ensure that the current configuration data has been backed up in the past 30 minutes. Otherwise, the command fails to be executed. 
    3. Stop all running services on the system.
