change port fast_write_option fc_port_id=? burst_len=?

fc_port_id=? Port ID.

To obtain the value, run "show port general".

burst_len=? Fast write I/O size.

The value can be "4096Bytes", "8192Bytes", "16384Bytes", "32768Bytes" or "73728Bytes", where:

  • "4096Bytes": The burst length of fast write is 4096 Bytes.

Usage Guidelines

Before performing this operation, ensure that the services on the port have been stopped.

Setting the fast write I/O size of the Fibre Channel port whose ID is CTE0.A3.P0 to 8192 bytes. The port ID and command output vary with product models.

developer:/>change port fast_write_option fc_port_id=CTE0.A3.P0 burst_len=8192Bytes
DANGER: You are about to change the service port's burst length of fast write.If there is host service running on the port, this operation will cause I/O error to the host service. If the burst length of fast write of the Fibre Channel host port mismatches that of the Fibre Channel port on the peer end, this operation interrupts the connection between the host and storage system.
Suggestion: Before perform this operation, you are advised to confirm that no host service running on the port.
