os changeplaneid


The os changeplaneid command is used to set the plane ID of switches.


os changeplaneid planeid=?





planeid=? Plane ID of the switch.

The value can be 0x0, 0x1, or 0x55.

  • 0x0: switch on plane 0.
  • 0x1: switch on plane 1.
  • 0x55: spare switch delivered from the vendor.

Usage Guidelines

If a switch is faulty and a spare switch sent from the vendor is used, use this command to change the plane ID of the spare switch. The plane ID of the spare switch is 0x55.


Set the plane ID of the switch to 0x1.

_user_admin:/diagnose>os changeplaneid 0x1
Set plane id : 0x1 OK
