This document is applicable to OceanStor 18500 V5, 18800 V5, 18500F V5, and 18800F V5. Based on the CLI, this document describes how to use various commands classified by functionsand how to set the CLI and manage the storage system through these commands.

Function

The iscsi_bind_cpu.sh command is used to bind CPUs for the iSCSI tx thread and the corresponding service network port's interrupt.

Format

iscsi_bind_cpu.sh { -h | -a { setaffinity [param] | stopirqbalance | startirqbalance } }

-a setaffinity [param] Sets the CPU to bind.

The value is a valid CPU list.

-a startirqbalance Starts irqbalance.

Usage Guidelines

The iscsi_bind_cpu.sh command is used to bind CPUs for the iSCSI tx thread and the corresponding service network port's interrupt. The used CPU cores are speciifed by parameters. In addition, this command can also be used to stop or start irqbanlance.

Example

  • Stop irqbalance.

    Storage: minisystem> iscsi_bind_cpu.sh -a stopirqbalance 
    Killed
  • Start irqbalance.

    Storage: minisystem> iscsi_bind_cpu.sh -a startirqbalance
  • Query the help information about commands.

    Storage: minisystem> iscsi_bind_cpu.sh -h
    iscsi_bind_cpu.sh -a setaffinity [param]     : set tx thread and irq affinity
    iscsi_bind_cpu.sh -a stopirqbalance          : stop irqbalance.
    iscsi_bind_cpu.sh -a startirqbalance         : start irqbalance.
    iscsi_bind_cpu.sh -h                         : show help
  • Set the CPU core binding.

    Storage: minisystem> iscsi_bind_cpu.sh -a setaffinity 1,3-19
    Bind to cpu(1,3-19) OK!
