change ddp limit_time

change ddp limit_time

Function

The change ddp limit_time command is used to set time parameters of the deduplication flow control function to optimize deduplication performance.

Format

change ddp limit_time type=? up_limit_time=? down_limit_time=? controller=? [ version=? ]

Parameters

Parameter

Description

Value

type

Optimization type.

The value can be "file_system" or "row_lun", where:

  • "file_system": file system.
  • "row_lun": deduplication and compression LUNs.

up_limit_time

Upper limit value of the deduplication flow control time (unit: ms). When the transaction flushing time is greater than the value, the system will increase the flow control on deduplication I/Os.

The value is an integer greater than the down_limit_time value.

down_limit_time

Lower limit value of the deduplication flow control time (unit: ms). When the transaction flushing time is lower than the value, the system will reduce the flow control on deduplication I/Os.

The value is an integer less than the up_limit_time value.

controller

Controller ID.

The value is in the format of "XA", "XB", "XC", or "XD", where "X" indicates an integer from "0" to "3", for example, "0A" or "1C".

version

Deduplication version.

The value can be "0" or "1", where:

  • "0": version before the deduplication performance is optimized.
  • "1": version after the deduplication performance is optimized.

Usage Guidelines

  • This command is used to optimize the deduplication performance of file systems and LUNs.
  • When this command is executed, the controller ID must be specified and this command takes effect only on this controller.

Example

For the deduplication flow control function of file systems, change the upper limit of time to 1000 ms and the lower limit of time to 800 ms.

developer:/>change ddp limit_time type=file_system up_limit_time=1000 down_limit_time=800 controller=0A
Command executed successfully.
