This document is applicable to OceanStor 18500 V5, 18800 V5, 18500F V5, and 18800F V5. Based on the CLI, this document describes how to use various commands classified by functionsand how to set the CLI and manage the storage system through these commands.

delete snapshot_db


The delete snapshot_db command is used to forcibly delete the DB information about a specified snapshot.


delete snapshot_db snapshot_id=?





snapshot_id=? ID of the snapshot whose DB information is to be deleted.

Run "show snapshot general" to obtain the value.

Usage Guidelines

  • Do not use this command without R&D engineers' guidance.
  • This command can only be used when a snapshot with incorrect DB information cannot be deleted on the CLI. Do not use this command in other scenarios.
  • This command does not reclaim snapshot metadata and data. To understand the impact of residual data after configurations are deleted, contact R&D engineers.
  • This command must be used with the "delete snapshot_rsstype","delete snapshot_dcl" command. Restart the system after running the commands.


Delete the DB information about snapshot 1, run the following command.

developer:/>delete snapshot_db snapshot_id=1
DANGER: You are about to delete snapshot configurations. This operation forcibly deletes snapshot configurations but does not delete the snapshot data and object. 
Suggestion: Before performing this operation, contract R&D engineers, perform all procedures under their guidance, and confirm the operation.
1. The system is not configured by other users.
2. The parameter values that are entered are correct.
