change file_system scrub

Function

The change file_system scrub command is used to control file system scrubbing. Use the show file_system scrub command to check the scrubbing details.

change file_system scrub file_system_id=? action=? [ range=? ] [ mode=? ] [ speed=? ] [ scrub_object_set_id=? ] [ scrub_object_id=? ] [ scrub_path=? ] [ log_file_system_id=? ] [ scrub_object_id_range=? ] [ scrub_transaction_number_range=? ] [ concurrent_number=? ]

action=?

Scanning action.

Possible values are "start" and "stop", where:

  • "start": to start scanning.
  • "stop": to stop scanning.

range=?

Scanning range.

Possible values are "core_metadata", "all_metadata", "all_metadata_and_data", "path", "object", or "transaction", where:

  • "core_metadata": core metadata.
  • "all_metadata": all metadata.
  • "all_metadata_and_data": all metadata and data.
  • "path": a single directory or file.
  • "object": a single object.
  • "transaction": transaction number.
  • "objects_range": Range of object IDs.

Note:1:The default value is "all_metadata_and_data".

mode=?

Scanning mode.

Possible values are "raid_verify" and "checksum", where:

  • "raid_verify": stripe consistency verification.
  • "checksum": integrity verification.
  • "all": integrity verification and stripe consistency verification.

The default value is "checksum".

speed=?

Scanning speed.

Possible values are "high", "normal", or "customized", where:

  • "high": the highest scanning speed, which will have a significant impact on system performance.
  • "normal": normal scanning speed, which will have a fair impact on system performance.
  • "customized": the user defines the number of concurrent scans.

file_system_id=?

File system ID.

To obtain the value, run the "show file_system general" command.

scrub_object_id=?

Object ID.

The ID can be obtained from the parameter.

scrub_path=?

Path.

File/directory path, with 1 to 4095 characters in length.

scrub_object_set_id=?

Object set ID.

The ID can be obtained from the alarm parameter.

log_file_system_id=?

ID of the log file system.

To obtain the value, run the "show file_system general" command.

scrub_object_id_range=?

Range of transaction numbers. Transaction number range is separated by hyphens (-), such as: 5-8. The transaction number is an integer from 0 to 18446744073709551615.

The value can be obtained from the alarm parameters.

scrub_transaction_number_range=?

Range of transaction numbers.Transaction number range separated by hyphens(-), such as: 5-8,the transaction number is an integer(0-18446744073709551615).

To obtain the latest transaction number, run the "show space uberblock" command.

concurrent_number=?

Concurrent number.

The value ranges from 1 to 150.

Usage Guidelines

  • The secondary file system of remote replication cannot be scanned.
  • Run the "show file_system scrub" command to query scrubbing details.
  • Run the "show file_system scrub_error_info" command to query error details.
  • After the scrubbing ends, run the "show file_system scrub_error_info" command. If error details are displayed, store the details and contact Huawei technical support for troubleshooting.

Example

  • To scrub all the contents of file system "1" in checksum mode with a high speed, run the following command.
    developer:/>change file_system scrub file_system_id=1 action=start range=all_metadata_and_data mode=checksum speed=high 
    WARNING: You are about to start scrubbing of file system.This operation may deteriorate file system performance. 
    Suggestion: Before performing this operation, ensure that you have selected the correct file system and the scrubbing must be started. Do not configure the file system or maintain the system before the scrubbing ends. 
    Have you read warning message carefully?(y/n)y 
    Are you sure you really want to perform the operation?(y/n)n 
    Command executed successfully.
  • To stop scrubbing file system "1", run the following command.
    developer:/>change file_system scrub file_system_id=1 action=stop 
    WARNNING:You are about to stop scrubbing of file system. 
    Suggestion:Before performing this operation, ensure that you have selected the correct file system and the scrubbing must be stopped.
