change cache destage_concurrent

change cache destage_concurrent

Function

The change cache destage_concurrent command is used to change the number of data destaging concurrency in volume cache and stripe cache.

Format

change cache destage_concurrent base=? [ object_type=? ] [ active_type=? ] req=? page=? mode=?

Parameters

Parameter

Description

Value

base=?

Cache type.

Possible values include "volume", "stripe", and "file_system".

object_type=?

Object type. The object types vary according to the base type. 1: When value of "base" is set to "volume", the object types are as follows: "all", "thick", "thin", and "row_thin". 2: When value of "base" is set to "stripe", the object types are as follows: "all", "data", "meta", "disk_log", and "logzone". 3: When the value of "base" is set to "file_system", you do not need to specify the object type.

The value can be "all", "thick", "thin", "row_thin", "data", "meta", "disk_log", or "logzone", where:

  • "all": all.
  • "thick": LUN with a fixed capacity.
  • "thin": expandable LUN.
  • "row_thin": deduplication and compression LUN.
  • "data": data.
  • "meta": metadata.
  • "disk_log": disk log data.
  • "logzone": log data.

active_type=?

Data destaging type. The data destaging type varies between base types. 1:When "base" is set to "volume", data destaging types include normal destaging, write through destaging, and forcible destaging. 2:When "base" is set to "stripe", data destaging types include normal destaging and write through destaging. 3:When "base" is set to "file_system", no data destaging type needs to be specified.

Possible values include "normal", "write_through", or "force", where:

  • "normal": normal data destaging.
  • "write_through": write through data destaging.
  • "force": forcible data destaging.

req=?

Number of concurrent REQ resources in cache.

The value ranges from "0" to "16,384".

page=?

Number of concurrent page resources in cache.

The value ranges from "0" to "2,621,440".

mode=?

Concurrency adjusting mode.

Possible values include "adjust" and "fastness", where:

  • "adjust": dynamic adjustment. The concurrent resources of this cache type are dynamically adjusted based on requirements.
  • "fastness": fixed adjustment. The concurrent resources of this cache type are set to a fixed value.

Usage Guidelines

Set the parameters properly. A too-large value may cause the system to overload and fail to run correctly, and a too-small value may cause system performance to degrade.

Example

Change the number of data destaging concurrency in volume cache and stripe cache.

developer:/>change cache destage_concurrent base=volume object_type=thin active_type=normal req=256 page=65448 mode=fastness
Command executed successfully.
