This document is applicable to OceanStor 5110 V5, 5110F V5, 5300 V5, 5500 V5, 5600 V5, 5800 V5, 6800 V5, 5300F V5, 5500F V5, 5600F V5, 5800F V5, and 6800F V5. Based on the CLI, this document describes how to use various commands classified by functionsand how to set the CLI and manage the storage system through these commands.

Function

The change cluster master command is used to switch the primary controller of the cluster.

change cluster master new_master_node_id=?

The new cluster primary controller ID.

The value is in the format of "XA", "XB", "XC" or "XD". "X" is the engine ID which is an integer ranging from 0 to 1.

Usage Guidelines

1.During the process of the primary controller switchover, the system cannot handle any events and events may be lost.

2.This command cannot be executed too frequently. It is recommended that you only run the command only once within 30 minutes.

3.Ensure that the system is in the normal state before primary controller switchover.

4.Ensure that no operation is being executed or waiting to be executed on the primary controller of the current cluster. The method is to run the "sys showcmdlist" command in the diagnostic view of the primary controller.

5.After the command is successfully executed, in the diagnostic view of a controller except the original cluster primary controller, run the "sys showcls" command to check if the primary controller switchover is successful. You can go to the next storage operation after ten seconds since the switchover is completed.

Example

Switch the primary controller of the cluster to OB.
