Based on the CLI, this document describes how to use various commands classified by functionsand how to set the CLI and manage the storage system through these commands.

Command Line Conventions

Respect the following conventions when viewing or running commands on the command-line interface (CLI).

Table 1-1 describes the command line conventions.

The keywords of a command line, which must not be changed are in boldface.

Italic

The parameters of a command line, which will be replaced by actual values, are in italics.

[]

Items (keywords or parameters) in brackets [] are optional in command configuration.

{x | y |...}

Optional items are grouped in braces ({}) and separated by vertical bars (|), and one item will be selected.

[x | y |...]

Optional items are grouped in brackets ([]) and separated by vertical bars (|), and one or no item will be selected.

{x | y |...} *

Optional items are grouped in braces ({}) and separated by vertical bars (|), and at least one item or all items at most will be selected.

[x | y |...] *

Optional items are grouped in brackets ([]) and separated by vertical bars (|), and more than one or no item will be selected.
