change dlm resource_attribute

Function

The change dlm resource_attribute command is used to modify the properties of a single resource.

Format

change dlm resource_attribute hex_name=? attribute=? controller=? pregrant_accessmode=? pregrant_pregrantmode=? pregrant_pregrantfactor=? cache_number=?

Parameters

Value

hex_name

Resource name in the hexadecimal format.

To obtain the name of the resource whose type is "1", run the "show dlm resource_proxy" command in the developer view.

attribute

Property to be modified.

The value can be "pregrant" or "cachenum", where:

  • "pregrant": modifies the prefetch optimization parameter.
  • "cachenum": modifies the cache number parameter.

controller=?

Controller ID.

The value is in the format of "XA", "XB", "XC", or "XD", where "X" is an integer ranging from 0 to 3, for example, "0A" or "1C".

pregrant_accessmode

Prefetch access mode. This parameter must be assigned and it is valid only when attribute=? is set to "pregrant".

The value can be "DEFAULT", "SEQUENCE", "REVERSE", or "RANDOM", where:

  • "DEFAULT": disables the prefetch optimization function by default.
  • "SEQUENCE": optimizes sequential access.
  • "REVERSE": optimizes reverse access.
  • "RANDOM": optimizes random access.

pregrant_pregrantmode

Prefetch mode. This parameter must be assigned and it is valid only when attribute=? is set to "pregrant".

The value can be "MAXIMIZE", "SCALE", "BLOCK_KB", "BLOCK_MB", or "BLOCK_GB", where:

  • "MAXIMIZE": maximizes prefetch.
  • "SCALE": prefetches based on scale.
  • "BLOCK_KB": prefetches based on KB.
  • "BLOCK_MB": prefetches based on MB.
  • "BLOCK_GB": prefetches based on GB.

pregrant_pregrantfactor

Prefetch factor. This parameter must be assigned and it is valid only when attribute=? is set to "pregrant".

The value is an integer ranging from 0 to 4,294,967,296.

cache_number

Number of caches. This parameter must be assigned and it is valid only when attribute=? is set to "cachenum".

The value is an integer ranging from 0 to 4,294,967,296.
