The restore cluster factory_mode command is used to clear the cluster configuration data and restore the cluster to the default settings.

Usage Guidelines

The cluster restores to the default settings after you run this command.


To restore the cluster to default settings, run the following command.

developer:/>restore cluster factory_mode 
DANGER: You are going to clear the cluster configuration data and restore the cluster to factory settings. This operation interrupts all running services on the storage system. After restart, the original configurations and logs are cleared, and the system is restored to default settings. All data becomes invalid. Read and write operations are unavailable until the system is reconfigured.  
Suggestion: Before performing this operation, implement the following steps: 
1. Determine whether to clear all configurations. 
2. Back up the existing configuration data. 
3. Stop all running services on the storage system.
