Based on the CLI, this document describes how to use various commands classified by functionsand how to set the CLI and manage the storage system through these commands.

upgrade disk_convertor


The upgrade disk_convertor command is used to upgrade disk converters.


upgrade disk_convertor [ disk_id=? ]






Disk ID in "enclosure.slot" format.

To obtain the value, run "show disk general" without parameter.

Usage Guidelines

  • To upgrade all disk converters, run "upgrade disk_convertor".
  • To upgrade a specific disk converter, run "upgrade disk_convertor disk_id=?".
  • OceanStor 5110 V5 storage systems supports this command.


Batch upgrade disk converters.

DANGER: You are going to upgrade the firmware of the disk converter. This operation causes the hard disk to be unavailable for about 5 minutes to 60 minutes depend on the number of the disk need to be upgraded. Please make sure to stop all services and repair all alarms before performing this operation. Please don`t interrupt the power supply during the upgrade. 
If a fault occurs during the upgrade, the upgraded hard disk becomes unavailable. 
Suggestion: After the upgrade is completed, run the poweroffsys command to power off the system and then power on the system again for the upgraded firmware to take effect.
