Function

The change cluster controllers command is used to split cluster controllers.

Format

change cluster controllers controller_num_pre_cls=?

Parameters

controller_num_pre_cls=?

Maximum number of controllers supported by a controller enclosure.

The value can be "2" or "4".

Usage Guidelines

  • This command will split the current cluster into multiple clusters.
  • This operation will delete all configuration information.
  • This operation will restart all nodes.
  • If the cluster contains multiple controller enclosures with different number of controllers, the cluster does not support this command.

Example

Split cluster controllers.

developer:/>change cluster controllers controller_num_pre_cls=2 

DANGER: This operation splits the cluster into multiple clusters, clears cluster configurations, interrupts services, and restarts all nodes. 

Suggestion: Before performing this operation, ensure that the cluster must be split for controller expansion and the cluster is working correctly.
