Based on the CLI, this document describes how to use various commands classified by functionsand how to set the CLI and manage the storage system through these commands.

change extent fast_migration_mode


The change extent fast_migration_mode command is used to enable or disable the fast migration mode.


change extent fast_migration_mode fast_migration_mode=?






Indicates whether to enable the fast migration mode.

The value can be "yes" or "no", where

  • yes: to enable the mode.
  • no: to disable the mode.

Usage Guidelines

After executing this command on the current controller, log in to other controllers of the storage system and run this command on the controllers one by one.


  • To enable the fast migration mode, run the following command:
    developer:/>change extent fast_migration_mode fast_migration_mode=yes 
    DANGER: You are about to enable fast migration. This operation may affect service performance. 
    Suggestion: Before performing this operation, contact technical support engineers. 
    Have you read danger alert message carefully?(y/n)y 
    Are you sure you really want to perform the operation?(y/n)y 
    Command executed successfully. 
  • To disable the fast migration mode, run the following command:
    developer:/>change extent fast_migration_mode fast_migration_mode=no 
    Command executed successfully.
