Based on the CLI, this document describes how to use various commands classified by functionsand how to set the CLI and manage the storage system through these commands.

change ddp metadata_rebuild

Function

The change ddp metadata_rebuild command is used to set functions related to metadata reconstruction of deduplication.

Format

change ddp metadata_rebuild lun_id=? controller=? action=? [ speed=? ]

Parameters

lun_id=?

LUN ID.

You can run the "show lun dedup_compress" command to obtain the LUN ID.

controller=?

Controller ID.

The value is in the format of "XA" or "XB" or "XC" or "XD", where the "X" is an integer ranging from 0 to 3, for example: "0A", "1C".

action=?

Reconstruction action.

The value can be "start", "stop", or "set_speed", where:

  • "start": Enables metadata reconstruction of deduplication.
  • "stop": Stops metadata reconstruction of deduplication.
  • "set_speed": Sets the metadata reconstruction speed of deduplication.

speed=?

Reconstruction speed.

The value can be "normal" or "high", where:

  • "normal": The reconstruction speed is normal and reconstruction has minor impact on system performance.
  • "high": The reconstruction speed is high and reconstruction has the largest impact on system performance.

By default, the value is "normal".

  • Before running this command, check whether the LUN ID that you want to select is correct.
  • When running this command, specify a controller ID.

Example

Enable the metadata reconstruction function of deduplication.
