This document is applicable to OceanStor 5110 V5, 5110F V5, 5300 V5, 5500 V5, 5600 V5, 5800 V5, 6800 V5, 5300F V5, 5500F V5, 5600F V5, 5800F V5, and 6800F V5. Based on the CLI, this document describes how to use various commands classified by functionsand how to set the CLI and manage the storage system through these commands.

change disk diskin


The change disk diskin command is used to enable/disable disk connection failure upon disk setting failure.


change disk diskin modeselect_switch=?






To enable or disable the function.

The value can be "on" or "off", where:

  • on:enable the function.
  • off:disable the function.

Usage Guidelines

  • This function is enabled by default.
  • Disable this function if the disk connection failure is caused by disk setting failure. Then reinsert the disk and connect it to the storage array.
  • After the disk is successfully connected, enable this function.


Disable disk connection failure upon disk setting failure.

DANGER: You are about to disable connection restriction upon disk setting failure. This operation may allow other disks to connect to the storage array and use the malfunctioning disk when the ERC fails to be set or write cache fails to be disabled, resulting in data loss risks. 
Suggestion: Before performing this operation, ensure that connection restriction upon disk setting failure needs to be disabled. Ensure that: 
1. This command is used only for data recovery. 
2. Data will not be written to the malfunctioning disk. 
3. The "change disk diskin modeselect_switch=on" command is executed to enable connection restriction upon disk setting failure after data is recovered.
