Based on the CLI, this document describes how to use various commands classified by functionsand how to set the CLI and manage the storage system through these commands.

show cache prefetch

show cache prefetch


The show cache prefetch command is used to query prefetch information about caches.


show cache prefetch info=? volume_id=? [ controller=? ]






Type of the prefetch information to be printed.

The value can be:

  • "waste_pages": queries the count of prefetch pages wasted in the specified cache objects.
  • "status": queries cache prefetch status.
  • "intelfactor": queries the intelligent prefetch parameter of the cache.


Volume ID.

The value ranges from 0 to 2^64-1.


Controller ID.

The value format is "XA", "XB", "XC", or "XD", where "X" is an integer ranging from 0 to 3, for example, "0A" or "1C".

Usage Guidelines

Operations are executed on the local controller by default.


  • Query the count of wasted prefetch pages in the cache object whose volume ID is "0" on controller "0A".
    developer:/>show cache prefetch info=waste_pages volume_id=0 
    Total Prefetch Page Count            1

  • Query the prefetch status of the cache whose volume ID is "0" on controller "0A".
    developer:/>show cache prefetch info=status volume_id=0

  • Query cache prefetch factors on controller "0A".

Total Prefetch Page Count

Total count of prefetch pages.

Total Prefetch Waste Page Count

Count of wasted prefetch pages.

Async Prefetch Status

Asynchronous prefetch status.

Async Prefetch Threshold

Start threshold of asynchronous prefetch, expressed in sectors.

Async Prefetch Threshold Percent

Percentage of the start threshold of asynchronous prefetch.

Max Length

Maximum length of intelligent prefetch.

Min Length

Minimum length of intelligent prefetch.
