This section explains how to replace an indicator board's adapter.

  • The spare part of the adapter is ready.
  • The adapter that you want to replace has been located.

Remove and insert the adapter with even force. Excessive force may damage the appearance or connectors of the adapter.

Tools and Materials

  • ESD wrist strap
  • ESD bag
  • Label
  • Phillips screwdriver
  • Diagonal plier

  1. Wear an ESD wrist strap. Open the front cabinet door.
  2. Remove the adapter to be replaced.

    1. Slightly pull out part of the adapter tray. Stop pulling when you can put your hands into the tray, as shown in Figure 6-251.

Do not pull out the adapter tray too much to avoid damaging the power cable of the adapter. One end of the power cable connects to the adapter of the indicator board and the other end connects to the PDU at the back of the cabinet.
