Before using this document, read this chapter carefully to ensure that the document is applicable to your storage device. This document applies to V500R007, not V500R007 Kunpeng. You can check whether the storage device version is V500R007 by observing the rear view of a controller enclosure or querying the version on DeviceManager or CLI.

Checking the Device Version from the Rear View of a Controller Enclosure
If the slot layout in the rear view of a controller enclosure is shown as Figure 1-1, Figure 1-2, or Figure 1-3, the device version is V500R007.
Checking the Device Version on DeviceManager
- If Version is V500R007CXX, the device version is V500R007.
- If Version is V500R007CXX Kunpeng, the device version is V500R007 Kunpeng.

Checking the Device Version on the CLI
Log in to the command-line interface (CLI) of a storage device and check Product Version.
- If Version is V500R007CXX, the device version is V500R007.
- If Version is V500R007CXX Kunpeng, the device version is V500R007 Kunpeng.
