Modifying Virtual Application Attributes


Modify attributes of published applications based on the actual situation.


  • Applications have been published.


Data preparation is not required for this operation.


  1. On the FusionAccess portal, choose Desktop.
  2. In the navigation tree, click the application group to be modified under Application Group.
  3. In the application list, select the application to be modified and click Edit.

    The Edit Application page is displayed.

  4. Modify the following parameters based on the actual situation, and click Save.



    Application name

    Identifies an application name. The name can contain Chinese characters, digits, letters, spaces, and special characters: ~!@%^_+-, and cannot exceed 55 characters. The name cannot start with any of the following characters: !@%^.


    The application name cannot consist of only digits. You are advised to set the application name to a combination of digits and letters.

    Executable path

    Specifies the file path of the application to be published on the server. This parameter is mandatory.

    Version (Optional)

    Specifies the version of the application to be published.

    Publish by (Optional)

    Specifies the person who publishes the application.

    Work Directory (Optional)

    Specifies the user directory on the operating system (OS). Users can access files using relative file names in this directory.

    Command Parameter (Optional)

    If the application to be published supports command lines, enter the command line parameters.

    Application Category (Optional)

    Specifies the category of an application.

    Application icon (Optional)

    • Retain the icon: retains the current icon without any processing.
    • Customize an icon: customizes an application icon.
    • Restore the default icon: restores the application icon to the default one.

      Ensure that the icon meets the following requirements: 32 × 32 pixels, smaller than 20 KB, and in PNG format.

    Description (Optional)

    Provides supplementary information about the application.

  5. Click Save.

    The system displays a message indicating that the application information is modified successfully.
