Touch Panel Security Hardening Recommendations

To help ensure system security while you are using the touch panel, adhere to the following:

  • Do not run the Huawei Telepresence application on a cracked system.
  • Disable installations of applications from unknown sources after the Huawei Telepresence application is installed.
  • Do not use the HDB to connect to the device.
  • Disable the Show passwords function.
  • Disable the Access my location function when it is not in use.
  • Disable Bluetooth when it is not in use.
  • Disable Wi-Fi when it is not in use.

Disabling Installations of Applications from Unknown Sources

Disable installations of applications from unknown sources after the Huawei Telepresence application is installed.

  1. Slide down from the top of the touch panel and tap .
  2. On the Settings screen, tap Additional settings under Security & privacy.
  3. Under DEVICE ADMINISTRATION, disable Unknown sources to forbid installations of applications not obtained from the Huawei app market.

Disabling Connection to the Device Using the HDB

  1. Slide down from the top of the touch panel and tap .
  2. On the Settings screen, tap Additional settings under Security & privacy.
  3. Under PC SUITE (HISUITE), disable Allow HiSuite to use HDB.

Disabling the Function of Showing Passwords

  1. Slide down from the top of the touch panel and tap .
  2. On the Settings screen, tap Additional settings under Security & privacy.
  1. Disable Show passwords.

Disabling the Function of Accessing My Location

  1. Slide down from the top of the touch panel and tap .
  2. On the Settings screen, tap Location access under Security & privacy.
  1. Disable Access my location.

Disabling Bluetooth

  1. Slide down from the top of the touch panel and tap .
    NOTE:

    You can also slide down from the top of the touch panel and tap the Bluetooth icon. If the icon is gray, the Bluetooth function is disabled.

  2. On the Settings screen, tap Bluetooth.
  3. Disable Turn on Bluetooth.

Disabling Wi-Fi

  1. Slide down from the top of the touch panel and tap .
    NOTE:

    You can also slide down from the top of the touch panel and tap the Wi-Fi icon. If the icon is gray, the Wi-Fi function is disabled.

  2. On the Settings screen, tap Wi-Fi.
  3. Disable Wi-Fi.
